BIO
Dr Ayesha Fuentes is an objects conservator and material historian originally from Washington State, USA. She has a BA in Art and Religion from Williams College (2003), MA in History of Art from Tufts University (2011) and MA from the University of California Los Angeles/Getty Training Program in the Conservation of Archaeological and Ethnographic Materials (2014).
She completed her PhD at the SOAS University of London in 2021 and is currently Research Affiliate in Conservation at the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, University of Cambridge.
Ayesha has worked with sites, heritage colleauges and collections in the US, UK, China, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Bhutan and Sudan. She is an active member in professional communities like the International Council of Museums Committee for Conservation (ICOM-Conservation), Institute for Conservation (UK), Museum Detox and Museum Ethnographers Group.
